LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – With no recent success in film or music, Lindsay Lohan is trying another gig: reality tv. The new Lindsay Lohan reality tv series is being talked up by momager, Dina Lohan, to New York press today.
Dina doesn’t indicate if a network has signed up Lohan, SCRAM bracelet at all. But Dina claims she is at least “discussing a deal”, whatever that might mean. Dina says the likely broadcaster is a “major network”. It’s unclear if the Lohans considered E! a major broadcaster, the last home of their previous lackluster reality show failure, Living Lohan.
Dina gives little insight into the concept of the show. But left out of the discussion is why Lindsay is now willing to appear in reality tv programming. Previous to the entry of Living Lohan, it was made clear that the real notable Lohan would not be appearing in a dreaded reality show. Yet today in the New York Post, Dina promotes the new reality project as a Lindsay-driven program that will show the Lohans are a “good” family” and don’t “have the crazy lives that some people claim we do.”
With some notable exceptions (like Kate Plus 8), reality programs about “good” families lacking “crazy lives” have generally struggled in tv ratings.
